Before and after school core/clubs

Extra Curricular Activities

After School Clubs

At school we provide a variety of clubs so that children are able to explore and develop their interests and skills.

Clubs are run either at lunchtime or after school, with some clubs being offered through external providers. The range of clubs varies dependent on the term and the staff available.

Educational Visits

To enhance our school curriculum we take the children on carefully selected visits, some of which may be residential. We believe that learning through first-hand experiences stimulates and supports learning. Sometimes, we ask visitors to come into the school to help with a particular topic or theme. Parents may be asked to contribute to the cost of this visit/visitor (refer to school’s charging and remissions policy).

Specialist Music Opportunities

Peripatetic music teachers can be arranged to offer instrument tuition for children in school. Parents are required to pay for these lessons and they are subject to availability. Contact the school if this is of interest.

Welcome to Monkshouse BAFTA Club!

Monkshouse Academy provides quality and affordable before and after school care for children from Nursery through to Year 6, run by Mrs Inglis and her team. Currently numbers are restricted on a first come, first served basis and children are allocated to a designated bubble.

Before School (Breakfast Club)

Available every school day from 7.30am.

Children have the opportunity to eat a healthy breakfast and share some of the exciting things that they have done at home the previous night. It gives a really social aspect to the start of their day and allows us to reinforce the values of eating together whilst developing their communication skills. After the children have eaten, there are a range of activities for them to engage in.

The cost is currently £4.00 per day.

After School

Available every school day from 3.15pm through till 6.00pm.

Children are free to take part in a selection of activities. It is a very informal club and if the weather is nice, children go outside to play some larger games before having their snack.

The cost is currently £4.00 per hour.

To attend any sessions, a completed Registration Form must be returned to the school office. Once your child is registered, the booking procedure for BAFTA is now via the Arbor Parent Portal or Parent App. Information can be found on the ‘new arrangements’ for BAFTA bookings letter.

PLEASE NOTE: NO REFUNDS UNLESS 24 HOURS NOTICE IS GIVEN
